A KITAS is Indonesia's limited stay permit. Whether you're investing, working, joining family or retiring, we provide guidance and assistance throughout the entire KITAS application process.

1 or 2 years, renewable

Investor KITAS

Designed for foreign nationals who hold shares in an Indonesian foreign-owned company. It allows you to live in Indonesia and oversee your investment without a separate work permit fee.

Key requirements

  • Shareholding in a registered PT PMA
  • Minimum share capital as set by current regulations
  • Passport valid at least 18 months
  • Company deed, NIB and supporting corporate documents
6 or 12 months, renewable

Work KITAS

Issued to foreigners hired by a licensed Indonesian sponsor company, combined with the RPTKA work permit and IMTA approvals.

Key requirements

  • Job offer from a licensed Indonesian company
  • Relevant degree or 5+ years of experience in the role
  • Position permitted for foreign workers
  • Company RPTKA approval and DKPTKA payment
1 year, renewable — KITAP possible after 2 years

Family KITAS

A dependent stay permit sponsored by your Indonesian spouse, allowing long-term residence with your family in Indonesia.

Key requirements

  • Legally registered marriage to an Indonesian citizen
  • Indonesian marriage certificate or legalised foreign certificate
  • Sponsor's KTP and Kartu Keluarga
  • Passport valid at least 18 months
1 year, renewable up to 5 years

Retirement KITAS

A stay permit for retirees with proof of pension or steady income who want to enjoy long-term life in Bali or elsewhere in Indonesia.

Key requirements

  • Aged 60 years or older
  • Proof of pension or monthly income
  • Proof of accommodation in Indonesia (rental or ownership)
  • Health and life insurance coverage
Matches the main KITAS holder's permit

Dependent KITAS

Allows the family members of an Investor, Work or Retirement KITAS holder to live in Indonesia for the same period as the main holder.

Key requirements

  • Main applicant holds a valid KITAS
  • Marriage certificate and/or birth certificates
  • Children under 18 and unmarried
  • Passport valid at least 18 months
